A clutch is not just one part of the engine, it is likely to be the most important part as it transmits the power between crankshaft and gearing. In order to be able to transmit more power, you need more friction within the clutch. Stronger springs will provide more contact pressure , more clutch plates will result in an enlarged frictional surface.

All clutch plates can be combined with the reinforced springs that fit the respective engine type.
