He has made a name for himself producing tuning heads on the scene. Hardly anyone knows their way around squish bands, compression ratios and combustion like he does. The MMW heads are precisely engineered, with exact angles and a very clean gasket surface area. Years of experience, modifying -if not thousands- of heads, is shown in the obvious high quality of these items. The basis for the PX200 MMW head is the PIAGGIO part. The combustion chamber is re-milled with a CNC process and so a new profile layout. This is for an to the shape of the piston crown, as well as a better fit to the following cylinders bore diameters: MALOSSI Road and Race, POLINI, PINASCO, POLOSSI, and the PIAGGIO . We also have long stroke crankshaft heads available for most kits so eliminating the need for time consuming experimentation with varying gasket thickness's. Consequently an ideal head is available for virtually all motor setups. Some come with an O-ring gasket as necessary. and pinking, those dreaded sounds announcing an heat seizure or worse, is eliminated with the use of this head model. That is, if the reason for your seizure was an incorrect compression ratio... Conclusion: Higher performance, and pinking eliminated and a more motor, what more could you wish for? Aluminium construction/ 68.5-69.5mm/ 57-60mm stroke compatible/ long spark plug thread/ O-ring gasket as per kit Aluminium, CNC milled combustion chamber, long spark plug thread, squish band 0.0-1.3mm, compression ratios between 1:10.5 – 1:12, O-ring as necessary Do not forget to order new spark plugs, base and head gaskets as well as pack-up plates to fit this head kit. The PINASCO setup is similar to the OE PIAGGIO 200cc . The gap between the top of the piston and the end of the bore of the is even larger with the use of a 57mm stroke crankshaft at 2.1mm. Add that to the clearance in the squish band recess of the PINASCO head and you are left with an effective squish band clearance of over 3mm. This leads to inefficient combustion and a lost power potential. MMW have taken on this problem and started production of a head for the current PINASCO performance kit that has a piston similar to the POLINI version. The MMW head for the PINASCO kit has no recess in the squish band area which, with the use of a 57mm stroke crankshaft, gives an acceptable squish band clearance of about 2.1mm. The use of a longer 60mm stroke crankshaft the inclusion of the MMW PINASO head with a 0.6mm recess in the squish band area.
